SHERRY NEAL TRAVELS TO PHILIPPINES TO SPEAK WITH LOCAL NURSES
Sherry Neal, one of the attorneys who practices within our Healthcare Services Group, will be traveling to the Philippines near the end of October to speak to groups of nurses about immigrating to the United States.  She will also be conducting training sessions for several of our clients during her stay.

VISA SCREEN MEMORANDUM RELEASED: VISA SCREEN REQUIRED BEFORE I-485
Among other things, the new Memorandum states that all Immigrant health care workers must meet all eligibility requirements at the time of filing the application for Adjustment of Status (or I-485 Application).

NCLEX INVITATIONAL UPDATE

I-140/485 TO BE FURTHER DELAYED

SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER CHANGES
The Social Security Administration is about to implement several changes that will make it slightly more difficult for foreign nationals to obtain Social Security Numbers.  Effective October 27, 2003, only valid "nonwork reasons" will be accepted.  Likewise, all applicants over the age of 12 will require an interview.

TSE CHANGES
The Test of Spoken English (TSE) is changing its testing format and delivery.  It is expected that this will result in higher pass rates.
